"Guided by a strong belief in the integrity and dignity of homeless women and their children, BARN is committed to providing these families with transitional housing and access to supportive services to promote healing, growth and self-sufficiency."  Mission Statement

BARN can accommodate 12 families or 36 people in a shared living environment for up to two years. BARN is a collaborative project of Prince William County, Department of Social Services, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia. BARN is supported by federal, state and local grants, corporations, foundations, community groups, local churches and concerned individuals.
