Liturgy of the Hours The monastic community welcomes you to join us for Morning, Midday, and Evening Prayer. As we pray the Psalms as a community, we bring our own lives into conversation with the Word of God. This continuous dialogue of praise, thanksgiving and lamentation, turns our hearts to the needs of the entire human community and challenges us to become the Word we hear. | Sisters in Prayer

Sunday Eucharist
The monastic life is nourished, sustained, and strengthened by the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist. The Benedictine Sisters of Virginia have been blessed with a large extended community of worshipers who join us on the Lord's Day. We are enriched by their prayerful presence. | Father Raymond Studzinski, O.S.B. |

Lectio Divina
 | The practice of lectio divina, or "sacred reading," is as old as monasticism itself. It is a way of praying with Scripture; of sitting with the Word. Saint Benedict believed that listening to the Word of God would change us, challenge us and transform us into the image of the Christ whom we seek. Lectio is the daily spiritual practice of monastics and of Oblates as well. It is a form of prayer that anyone can begin, using these four simple steps. |
I. Lectio Listen to the Word of God "with the ear of your heart." II. Meditatio Ponder God's Word in your heart. III. Oratio Pray by letting your being speak to God. IV. Contemplatio Rest in God's presence. |
